Summary:  Lucas had been trying to hide his discomfort, not wanting to be forced to miss any of the next tour, but things soon spiral out of his control and he finds himself recovering from surgery. He is released from hospital back into the care of Doctor Westphalen in time for the tour, but knows that he needs to take it very easy over the next few of weeks as his body heals. SeaQuest is hijacked by an extremist group and they are removed from the vessel to an underground facility until the vessel can be stripped of all her weaponry and technology.

Lucas is taken from the SeaQuest with the rest of the crew, but because of his age, and the fact that they can see he is injured, he is kept segregated from the others in their prison cell. The terrorists use threats to hurt the boy further to subdue Bridger and the others and prevent them from doing anything to stop the takeover.

Lucas manages to escape his captors and is determined to rescue his crew members, pain or not. The terrorists are unaware that the teenager may be capable of thwarting their efforts to destroy the vessel and stealing her arsenal.
